Camille Guedo

My name is Camille Guedo, and I am a hospitality professional currently pursuing the MSc in Hospitality Management (IMHI) at ESSEC Business School while working as a Revenue Manager apprentice at Groupe Logis Hôtels. After several years in hotel operations, I am excited to explore another side of an industry I love, combining practical experience with a growing interest in analytics and financial strategy.

My operational career has included leading teams in both France and Australia. I particularly enjoyed sharing knowledge, training colleagues, and helping people grow in confidence and develop their skills. Working alongside teams in different environments strengthened my appreciation for clear communication, mutual support, and the collective effort behind a successful hotel. These experiences continue to shape how I approach challenges and work with others.

Hospitality appeals to my curiosity because there is always something new to understand: a guest’s expectations, a changing market, or a different way of running a business. I also spent two years travelling around the world, driven by a desire to discover new places and different ways of life. I bring that same openness, positive outlook, and enthusiasm to my professional life.

Returning to education was a deliberate step towards broadening my perspective and aiming higher professionally. I wanted to build on my operational experience, better understand the business decisions shaping our industry, and explore new career possibilities. This is why I chose ESSEC’s IMHI programme.

What excites me about revenue management is turning data into decisions that make a practical difference. I enjoy looking beyond the figures to understand demand, customer behaviour, and business performance. While my experience is rooted in hospitality, my curiosity extends to how revenue management is applied across industries, including aviation and the wider travel sector. I am particularly interested in how pricing, forecasting, and capacity management adapt to different business models. Through my work and writing, I look forward to exploring these connections, sharing insights, and continuing to learn.

Outside work and study, I enjoy running and sewing. Running gives me goals to work towards while teaching me patience and consistency. Sewing allows me to express my creativity and enjoy learning something completely different. I am still a beginner, but there’s nothing quite like wearing something I’ve made myself! Both hobbies help me unwind and give me the satisfaction of seeing progress through practice.

I am delighted to share my perspective on Hospitality Net and contribute to conversations about the future of our industry!
