Mona is a respected entrepreneur with over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. With an in-depth market understanding of the Middle East, she is experienced in commercial management, research, hotel openings, and start-ups. Mona has an extensive industry network and is known for her passion, forthright opinions, and hands-on work ethics.

With a background from Hilton and Rotana, in 2008 Mona founded Insight Out, a renowned commercial consultancy, and in 2018 she became the Managing Director of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) for the Middle East. With a vision to solve the challenges of technology procurement, in 2021 she co-founded ExploreTECH, first B2B digital marketplace for hospitality and travel technology in the Middle East and Africa.

 A Syrian national and a UAE resident for 50 years, Mona holds a Business Administration degree from the American University of Beirut and a Total Quality Management certification from Cranefield University, UK.
