Ground Broken on new Melbourne Airport Hotel

The first sod was turned today on the construction of a brand new hotel at Melbourne Airport to support growing traveller numbers and address constraints in hotel occupancy. The 10-storey hotel will be dual-branded operating under the Novotel and ibis Styles' brands rated four and three stars respectively, offering guests gym and pool facilities, a café, bar and restaurant plus conference room facilities.

Novotel Opens in Haikou, China

AccorHotels has expanded its midscale Novotel brand to Haikou, the capital city of Hainan province.Located on Xinbu Island, a newly developed area in the northeast part of Haikou city, the 141-room Novotel Haikou Xinbudao is a 40-minute drive from Haikou Meilan International Airport and 90 minutes by high speed train from Sanya.

2016, another record year in AccorHotels’ development

At a rate of one new hotel opening every 36 hours, 2016 represented another record year in AccorHotels' development, with more than 4,100 hotels and 580,000 rooms in 95 countries around the world. As a result of a hotel development strategy driven by sustained organic growth and the acquisition of FRHI, over the past year the Group opened 230 new hotels and acquired 120 new locations, while continuing to diversify its activities.
