The Resident

The Resident is a privately owned British boutique hotel brand offering contemporary, upper-upscale accommodation in prime city-centre locations across the United Kingdom. The brand currently operates five hotels, with three properties in London (Covent Garden, Soho and Victoria), one in Liverpool and one in Edinburgh. Known for its thoughtfully designed rooms, personalised service and neighbourhood-focused hospitality, The Resident combines the comfort of a home-like environment with the convenience of centrally located hotels. Its distinctive guest experience is supported by local partnerships and its team of “Resident Insiders,” who provide personalised recommendations to help visitors discover each destination.

The Resident is operated by The Sirius Hotel Group, formerly known as Resident Hotels, a London-based hotel management company established in 2006 and backed by Mactaggart Family & Partners, a British real estate investment business. Led by CEO David JM Orr and CFO Ameesh Shah, the group manages a portfolio of nine hotels, comprising five The Resident properties and four Four Points Flex by Sheraton hotels operated under a franchise agreement with Marriott International. With an ambitious expansion strategy, The Sirius Hotel Group plans to grow its portfolio significantly over the coming years, including the opening of The Resident Farringdon in London, scheduled for 2029.
