Accor Considers Splitting Firm | wsj.com

In a sign of influence from its main shareholders, U.S. private equity firm Colony Capital and French investment company Eurazeo -- who together own 30% of the company and hold four of 12 board seats -- Accor said its board approved a proposal by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Gilles Pelisson to assess the possibility of splitting the company into two separate businesses.
