Hundreds gathered at The Willows Lodge in Woodinville recently where an emotional celebration of the life of a giant in the hospitality industry, James Simkins, 62, was held. Simkins, a longtime resident of Woodinville, died Jan. 16, after an 18-month battle with cancer. Leaders Magazine has called him one of the world's top hotel managers.
