Setting Up Your Organization Profile
Before you start publishing content, take a few minutes to set up your organization profile. This is where you manage your company's branding, contact details, and public information. Everything you add here automatically appears across all your content on Hospitality Net.
Your Organization Profile
Find your organization profile in the left sidebar under Organization > Company Profile. This is your company's home on Hospitality Net, where readers can learn about your organization and view all the content you've published.
Your profile page includes your logo, about text, social media links, contact information, and a timeline of your content.
Uploading and Cropping Your Logo
Your logo appears everywhere your company is mentioned on Hospitality Net. You cannot remove the logo, only replace it.
To upload or replace your logo:
- Click on the logo area in your organization profile
- Select your logo file from your computer
- The crop editor opens automatically
In the crop editor:
- Zoom - Use the zoom slider to scale your logo larger or smaller within the circle
- Position - Click and drag the image to center your logo perfectly
- Background - If your logo is transparent or zoomed in enough that background shows through, choose a background color:
- Select one of the preset colors (white, light gray, gray, dark gray)
- Or click the color picker icon to choose a custom color from your logo
- Click Save when you're happy with how it looks
The circular crop ensures your logo looks consistent across the platform, whether it's displayed large or small.
Adding a Favicon (Optional but Recommended)
A favicon is a simplified version of your logo, optimized for very small display sizes. In content feeds and lists, we show a tiny version of your logo in the content footer. Some detailed logos don't scale well at this size and become hard to recognize.
If you upload a favicon, we'll use it in these small spaces instead of your main logo. This keeps your branding clear and recognizable everywhere.
To upload your favicon:
The upload and crop process works exactly like the logo. Use the zoom, position, and background color tools to make your favicon look perfect in a circle.
Tip: Use a simplified version of your logo or just your company initials for best results at small sizes.
Organization Name and Short Name
Organization Name is your company's full official name. This appears on your organization page and in formal contexts.
Short Name is optional but useful if your official name is long. For example, "Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals" uses the short name "HFTP."
When you provide a short name, we'll use it in content footers and other compact spaces where the full name might not fit comfortably.
Writing Your About Text
The about text is a brief description of your organization, with a maximum of 250 words. It appears on your organization page and in content footers.
Many organizations have an official boilerplate description, but we recommend writing an engaging description rather than using corporate boilerplate. Think of it as introducing your company to someone at an industry event. What do you actually do? What makes you different?
Focus on being clear and interesting rather than formal and comprehensive.
Contact Information
Add your contact email address, phone number, and physical address. This information appears on your organization page and helps readers get in touch with you directly.
All fields are optional, so you can choose what contact information to make public.
Changes Apply Everywhere Automatically
Once you update your logo, name, about text, or any other organization details, the changes apply automatically across all your content on Hospitality Net.
You don't need to update individual articles or press releases. Everything stays current with your latest branding and information.
