How to Publish an Interview

Share expert conversations and insights

Interviews showcase conversations with industry experts, thought leaders, and innovators. This guide walks you through creating and publishing an interview on Hospitality Net.

Getting Started with Press Releases

To publish an opinion piece, click the Post Content button on your dashboard homepage. This opens a modal where you can choose the type of content you want to create.

Select Press Release from the Editorial section to begin.

Headline, Subtitle, and Organization

Start by entering your press release headline. This is required and should clearly communicate your announcement.

The subtitle is optional but can provide additional context or detail that doesn't fit in the main headline.

In the sidebar, you'll see your organization displayed. You can edit your organization details inline by clicking the edit icon, which opens your organization profile in a drawer. Any changes you make here are the same as updating your profile under Organization → Company Profile.

Writing Your Content

Use the editor to write and format your press release. The toolbar includes standard formatting options plus several special features:

Special Editor Features

Blockquote
Use this button to format quoted text or pull quotes.

Insert Image
Add images within your content. When you click this button, a cropper opens where you can zoom and rotate the image. Click Insert to add it to your content. After inserting, click the down chevron below the image to add details (title, caption, credit, link).

You can also align images using the alignment buttons. By default, images appear between paragraphs, but you can align them left or right to wrap text around them. Note: Alignment buttons are only visible when the image details section is collapsed.

Insert Video
Paste a YouTube or Vimeo link and the embed code is automatically generated.

Insert CTA (membership-dependent)
If your membership includes CTA buttons, you can insert Call-to-Action sections into your content. CTAs are reusable sections to promote something during a specific period, like an upcoming webinar. The CTA remains visible in your content until you deactivate it.

Adding Authors

For opinion articles, podcasts, explainers, and interviews, you can add one or more authors in the Authors section of the sidebar.

Click the Authors dropdown to select an existing author from your organization. You can search by name to find the right person quickly.

If you need to add a new author, click Add new author at the bottom of the dropdown list. The author you create here is saved to your organization's author list and can be reused in future content.

Reordering Authors

If you add multiple authors and want to change their order, simply drag and drop them into the right sequence. The first author listed will be displayed as the primary author.

Adding Media Contacts

Media contacts are the people journalists and readers can reach out to for more information about your press release.

Click the Media Contacts dropdown in the sidebar to select an existing contact. You can search by name to find the right person quickly.

If you need to add a new contact, click Add new contact at the bottom of the dropdown list. The contact you create here is saved to your organization's contact list and can be reused in future content.

Selecting Brands

If your organization is a hotel company, you'll see a Brands section in the sidebar. This lets you tag which brand or brands your press release is about.

Select one or more brands from the list. This helps readers find content relevant to specific hotel brands within your company.

Linking to Events

If your press release is related to an industry event like HITEC or ITB, you can link it to that event.

In the Related Events section of the sidebar, search for the event name and select it from the list.

After selecting an event, you'll be asked if you're exhibiting. If you are, you can enter your booth number (for example: Hall 4.1, Stand 123). This information will be displayed in your published press release, making it easy for readers to find you at the event.

Attaching Documents

You can attach supporting documents to your press release. We accept PDF and Microsoft Word files (.doc, .docx), up to 25MB each.

Common uses include attaching a PDF version of the full press release, research reports, brochures, or menus.

The filename is used as the default title. Click the filename to change it to something more descriptive that helps readers understand what the document contains.

Choosing When to Publish

You can publish your press release immediately or schedule it for a specific date and time.

Publish Now

Your content goes live immediately when you click the Publish button.

Schedule for Later

Pick a specific date and time using the date picker. The timezone follows your browser's setting, and time is in 24-hour format (for example, 14:30 for 2:30 PM). If you only select a date without a time, the default time is 09:00.

Important: Once your content is published, you cannot change the publish date.

Tips for Scheduling

Consider your audience's timezone when scheduling. Weekday mornings tend to get higher engagement. Try to avoid scheduling during major holidays when your audience might not be checking news.

Review and Publish

When you're ready, click Continue to Review to preview your press release before publishing.

Preview Your Content

The center panel shows exactly how your press release will appear when published. You can check it on different screen sizes using the device preview buttons at the top.

AI Analysis

In the right sidebar, our AI automatically analyzes your content and provides:

  • Summary: A short overview of your press release
  • Category: The main topic area (for example, Sales & Marketing)
  • Tags: Relevant keywords that help readers find your content
  • Reading time: Estimated minutes to read
  • Relevance score: How relevant your content is to the hospitality industry (rated out of 5)

This information is generated automatically and cannot be edited.

Final Steps

If you need to make changes, click Back to Edit. When everything looks good, click Publish Now if you chose to publish immediately, or Schedule if you selected a future date.

After Publishing

After publishing or scheduling your press release, you'll see a confirmation page with several options.

Preview Link

You'll receive a unique preview link that you can share with colleagues or stakeholders. If your press release is scheduled for the future, it will only be accessible via this preview link until the scheduled publish time.

Use the social sharing buttons to promote your press release on LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Facebook, or via email. This makes it easy to get your announcement in front of your network as soon as it's published.
