HITEC, produced by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals®, is the largest and most comprehensive showcase of hospitality technology in the world. HITEC 2001 is expected to attract over 6,000 attendees. The exposition will host over 300 vendors in more than 750 booths, covering every facet of hospitality technology — from accounting software to central reservation systems to telecommunications.
Based in Austin, Texas, HFTP is the professional association for financial and IT personnel working in hotels, resorts, clubs, casinos, restaurants, and other hospitality-related businesses. The association provides continuing education and networking opportunities to more than 4,300 members around the world. HFTP also administers the examination and awards the certification for the Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) and the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) designations. HFTP was founded in 1952 as the National Association of Hospitality Accountants.
For more than 25 years, HFTP has been a leader in promoting and supporting hospitality technology. In addition to producing HITEC, HFTP administers the examination and awards the certification for the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) and Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) designations. HFTP is also the home of the International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame.
