HFTP Board To Offer Members Alternatives to Geographic Chapters
Tina Samson, CHAE, was installed as president-elect of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) at the association's 2002 Annual Convention & Tradeshow in Austin, Texas. Samson is the Chief Financial Officer for Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando in Orlando, Fla. A member of HFTP for 13 years, Samson is chair of the 2003 HITEC Advisory Council and currently serves on the Paragon Award and Appeals committees. She has served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the past four years. During her membership tenure, she has served on the Nominating, Chapter Relations, Foundation, Leadership Academy Advisory, Chapter of the Year, HITEC and Editorial Communications Advisory Councils. She also served four years on the HFTP San Diego Chapter's board, the last as its president.
Based in Austin, Texas, HFTP is the professional association for financial and technology personnel working in hotels, resorts, clubs, casinos, restaurants and other hospitality-related businesses. The association provides continuing education and networking opportunities to more than 4,000 members around the world, and produces the premiere hospitality technology shows HITEC and ONHTEC. HFTP also administers the examination and awards the certification for the Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) and the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) designations. HFTP was founded in 1952 as the National Association of Hotel Accountants.
