Prime Hospitality Corp. Announces New Central Reservation System
FAIRFIELD, N.J., Jan. 31 - Prime Hospitality Corp.
The new reservation system will broaden access to travel agents through additional global distribution systems and immediately increase the number of agent terminals by 23%. Through a real-time interface connecting the hotels with the central reservation system and global distribution systems, Prime will be able to swiftly implement marketing and yield management strategies. Additionally, the system will provide Prime with detailed guest history data for new marketing initiatives such as frequent traveler programs. The system also has the capability to provide automatic linkage with other reservation systems which may facilitate new marketing alliances with strategic partners.
"The Anasazi system is a major step forward for our hotels," said David Simon, President and Chief Executive Officer. "It will help us to reach a much larger market, to develop marketing alliances with additional strategic partners and to better serve our guests. We expect this will have a strong impact on the revenue growth and profitability of our chains."
Prime is rapidly growing its all-suites AmeriSuites chain with 46 hotels currently under development, including 26 hotels under construction. Prime is on target to have 69 AmeriSuites hotels by the end of 1997 and 100 by the end of 1998. Prime's Wellesley Inn chain consists of 29 hotels located in Florida and the Northeast. Prime recently completed the renovation of five Wellesley Inns located in Florida and will complete renovations on nine other Wellesley Inns by the end of the first quarter of 1997.
Prime Hospitality Corp. owns or manages 106 hotels under its proprietary trade names AmeriSuites and Wellesley Inns, and under franchise agreements with national hotel chains including Marriott, Radisson, Sheraton, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Ramada and Howard Johnson.
