The agreement goes into effect immediately and GetThere's reservation system is expected to go live on b-there-powered event sites early in 2001. The sites will be targeted specifically to the attendees of association meetings, trade shows and events that are managed with the b-there tool set by their clients, who are meeting planners, intermediaries and trade show/event organizers.

Through the GetThere/b-there agreement, meeting planners and trade show organizers will be able to offer attendees a complete, one-stop planning experience in real-time, including the ability to book event-specific meeting fares, such as the commonly utilized "Zone Fares", through GetThere's engine. In addition, planners and organizers will now be able to access consolidated data on their events, as well as generate new revenue and credit streams with increased visibility and attendee usage.
