Alphanet Expands Focus To Meet The Needs Of The Mid-Range Lodging Market - AlphaNet Offers Affordable Products With Low-Risk

Ramsey NJ, May 14, 2001 - AlphaNet Hospitality Systems Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tech Electro TELE and the leading supplier of in-room business services to the lodging industry, has expanded its business model to provide affordable products to a wider range of hotel properties.

AlphaNet's products, The InnRoom Business Center (IBC-5000) and The Office, are currently installed in 50% of all luxury hotels in the US. AlphaNet hopes to extend its services, by making products more affordable for smaller properties and the mid-range market.

According to Meinrad LP, a specialized market research and direct sales consulting firm focusing on the lodging industry, the US lodging market is composed of 217 luxury hotels, 2,930 first class hotels, 19,782 mid-market hotels and 18,773 economy hotels. By customizing their business model to meet the needs of different market segments of the lodging industry, AlphaNet tremendously increases their growth opportunity.

In the past, hotels were required to pay an installation fee in exchange for a larger share of the usage revenue from in-room fax and the free-standing work station. Now, AlphaNet's InnRoom Business Center-5000 and The Office are low-risk investments for a hotel because the hotel has options. The placement agreement enables hotel properties to either purchase or enter into an operating lease for the equipment. A revenue-sharing program accompanies each plan, regardless of the type of plan chosen; this includes

maintenance, staff training, customer support and selected free guest information services.

"Business travelers need and expect amenities that enhance productivity on the road," said John Beasley, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AlphaNet. "Our new model offers all properties the opportunity to provide them. Leasing the equipment from AlphaNet allows the hotel to invest very little money upfront, making these business amenities more affordable to smaller properties with low risk involved. This service to the industry opens up vast potential markets for AlphaNet."

AlphaNet's product line consists of The InnRoom Business Center-5000, which can be linked by cable to a laptop computer and print plain paper documents from any program, including word processing and email. The Office, a multi-function work center, includes a PC, laser printer, fax machine and photocopier and is loaded with popular business software. It is usually located in the central lobby and is available to hotel guests 24/7. A self-serve, unattended business center, The Office is credit card activated and user friendly. AlphaNet is also the distributor of the InnPhone, a two-line cordless phone designed exclusively for hotels by TeleMatrix Inc. The distribution of InnPhone will not be affected by the modifications of AlphaNet's business model.
