Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels Expands Sydney Team

Sydney, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels announced today the transfer of Troy Craig, Senior Vice President from Singapore to lead the firm's Australasian Valuation and Advisory services, based in Sydney. At the same time Mr Max Cooper, Senior Vice President, has been promoted to oversee the firm's Special Projects in the Asia Pacific.

In his new role, Mr Cooper will be charged with the originating new hotel & tourism property services for Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels' Asian and Australian based clients where specialist needs are identified and where the firm's extensive property skills are able to add value.

Announcing the promotions, Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels' CEO and Managing Director Mr David Gibson said "Troy's return to Sydney after almost four years in Asia brings a new dimension to our Valuation and Advisory team in Australasia. Both Troy and Max's extensive experience will significantly strengthen Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels' global leadership in providing specialist hotel investment services to its clients".

Mr Craig joined Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels in 1996 as a valuer. In 1998, he transferred to the firm's Singapore office, assuming responsibility for the valuation and advisory team in Asia. During the following four years, Mr Craig carried out assignments in 28 markets across 14 countries throughout Asia. Major hotels valued include those of Mandarin Oriental chain and the Peninsula, the Banyan Tree and Amanresorts portfolios.

Key areas of Mr Craig's expertise include income based hotel/tourism property valuations, feasibility studies, cashflow forecasting, demand studies as well as income-based valuations of specialist properties such as golf courses.

Mr Cooper has been employed in the real estate industry for over 20 years and has specialised in providing corporate advisory services for hotel and tourism property since 1988. He has extensive experience throughout Australasia and the Pacific and has also undertaken various specific assignments in Europe and Asia. More recently, Mr Cooper has worked with the Corporate Finance unit to assist in re-structuring and debt placement for hotel assets in the Asia Pacific Region. He is also a member of the Property Council of Australia's Tourism Committee and panel valuer for the Hotel Valuation Index for Sydney.
