First Hospitality Group Inc. Adds Five Properties In A Strategic Growth Initiative
DES PLAINES, Ill. | While continuing to focus on the Midwest with its primary strategic brand partners, First Hospitality Group, Inc. (FHG) is exploring growth opportunities through a mix of owned and managed hotels that fit its operational model. The Chicago area based FHG recently added five properties to its portfolio bringing the company's total to 30 hotels in six states.

(FHG) is exploring growth opportunities through a mix of owned and managed hotels that fit its operational model. The Chicago area based FHG recently added five properties to its portfolio bringing the company's total to 30 hotels in six states.
FHG recently executed four management contracts including: the 297-room Holiday Inn Select Chicago O'Hare, the 120-room County Suites Chanhassen, Minn., the 155-room Wyndham Garden Inn Buffalo Grove, Ill., and the 143-room Best Western Wheeling, Ill. FHG has also broken ground on a 115-room Hilton Garden in Oakdale, Minn. that is scheduled to open in February 2005.
According to FHG Director of Development Ira Ury, "We believe we can apply our proven recipe for success to a number of hotel assets in both the equity and non-equity environments. We continue to look for opportunities in both settings where we believe we can make a difference."
