Singapore Exhibition Services Pte Ltd of Allworld Exhibitions and Accuvia have today announced a groundbreaking new move to better serve the technology sector in the Asian hospitality, foodservice and catering industries by co-locating the successful HOSTEC-ASIA Conference and Exhibition alongside FHA2006 to be run at Singapore Expo from April 25th to 28th 2006.

The Asian region’s hospitality & foodservice technology sector receives a huge boost at next year's FHA2006 exhibition in Singapore, with the 2nd edition of the HOSTEC-ASIA Exhibition and Conference. Co-locating for the first time at FHA2006, HOSTEC-ASIA takes the show's previous involvement with hospitality technology to an entirely new level.

HOSTEC-ASIA’s hugely successful launch in Hong Kong in May of this year alongside Allworld’s renowned hospitality event, HOFEX, saw companies such as IBM, Micros, Microsoft, Siemens and XN participating to meet with the nearly 8,000 trade only visitors that attended the show (out of a total of 28,604 visitors that attended the overall HOFEX event).

The HOSTEC-ASIA exhibition is accompanied by a series of specialist presentations, workshops and seminars as well as unique networking opportunities for it’s visitors. This, together with the stand-alone exhibition, brings a completely new dimension to FHA 2006, already Asia's largest hospitality industry event.

"Following the success of the initial HOSTEC-ASIA in Hong Kong this year, we are delighted to extend our cooperation with HOSTEC and Accuvia and its founder Robert Grimes," said Stephen Tan, Chief Executive of Singapore Exhibition Services. "HOSTEC-ASIA and its sister events in the US (FS/TEC) and Europe (HOSTEC-EURHOTEC) have already won industry-leading status, and we are delighted to bring this unrivalled international experience to our Asia-Pacific audience at FHA."

Exhibitors at HOSTEC-ASIA 2006 will benefit from FHA's continually growing visitor profile, which in 2004 saw nearly 37,012 trade-only professionals attending the four-day event, from 98 countries.

"This is a big move for technology within the hospitality and foodservice sectors across Asia. We are very pleased to expand HOSTEC-ASIA by putting it alongside of FHA 2006. This is the natural next step in expanding the very successful relationship Accuvia developed with Allworld by bringing HOSTEC-ASIA to HOFEX earlier this year” Said Robert Grimes, Chairman of Accuvia.

HOSTEC-ASIA 2006 is thus set to become Asia’s new sourcing ground for all professionals concerned with the hospitality and foodservice technology sector. The exhibit profile includes systems for property management systems, ePOS, F&B, security, accounting, reservations, in-room technologies and many other applications.

HOSTEC was founded by Accuvia in London in February 2000. With headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA, it is the leading global technology force in event developing, consulting and publishing for the hospitality, foodservice and retail industries. Since 1996 with its partner Nation’s Restaurant News, Accuvia produces and manages FS/TEC, the US-based international technology conference and exhibition for the foodservice industry. In 2001, Accuvia formed HOSTEC-EURHOTEC in Europe through a partnership with the International Hotel & Restaurant Association.

The organiser of FHA, Singapore Exhibition Services Pte Ltd, is a member of Allworld Exhibitions. With an established portfolio of 200 shows in 14 countries, Allworld's internationally renowned "Apple" programme of trade-only food and hospitality events includes FHA, FHC in China, HOFEX in Hong Kong and FHK in Seoul. It traces its roots in the exhibition business back to 1895.
