Starwood announces several SVP and VP appointments in the EAME Dvision

Even Frydenberg has been appointed Senior Vice President, Operations, EAME
As SVP, Operations, EAME, Even will continue to be responsible for the successful integration process of all Le Méridien hotels into the corporate and divisional Starwood structures. He will also provide general strategic support to all operations in the EAME division and will take on, in addition to his current responsibilities of Six Sigma and Quality, the leadership for IT and Purchasing. Most recently, Even was VP, Six Sigma, EAME a position he has held since February 2001.
Bill Showalter has been appointed Senior Vice President, Finance, EAME (reporting on a primary basis to Vasant Prabhu, EVP & CFO, Starwood)
As SVP, Finance for EAME, Bill will continue to lead the division’s finance activities as well as work with the senior executive team to deliver the achievement of the business imperatives, with a particular emphasis on supporting the achievement of the EAME growth and development commitments.
Martin Franck has been appointed Senior Vice President, Human Resources, EAME
As SVP, HR for EAME, Martin will continue to lead and direct all human resources activities in the division and provide strategic support to the senior operational leadership with regards to all key human resources aspects, while ensuring strategic alignment of the Core People and Talent Processes throughout the division.
Robert Scott has been appointed Senior Vice President, General Counsel, EAME
As SVP, General Counsel for EAME, Robert will continue to lead and direct all legal concerns in the division and provide strategic legal support and counsel to Starwood’s senior management in the division.
Wilke See-Tho has been appointed Senior Vice President, Acquisitions & Development, EAME (reporting on a primary basis to Ted Darnell, President, Starwood Real Estate Group)
As SVP, Acquisitions & Development for EAME, Wilke will continue to focus on development strategies in the division and lead all activities for acquisitions and development of new properties. Together with his team, he will strive to reach and exceed the growth objectives for EAME.
Erhard Noreisch, Senior Vice President, Regional Director, East & Central Europe
As SVP, Regional Director, East & Central Europe, Erhard will continue to lead and direct the operations in East & Central Europe and will remain based at the Hotel Imperial in Vienna.
Philippe Cassis, Senior Vice President, Regional Director, Spain & Portugal
As SVP, Regional Director, Spain & Portugal, Philippe will lead and direct the operations in Spain & Portugal and will be based at the Westin Palace in Madrid. Most recently, Philippe was SVP, Regional Director of Operations, Africa & Middle East, a position he has held since October 2001.
Hassan Ahdab, Vice President, Regional Director, Africa & Indian Ocean
As VP, Regional Director, Africa & Indian Ocean, Hassan will lead and direct the operations in the Africa & Indian Ocean region and will be based in the regional office in Paris. Most recently, Hassan held the position of Regional Managing Director, Africa & Indian Ocean, Le Méridin
Guido De Wilde, Vice President, Regional Director, Middle East
As VP, Regional Director, Middle East, Guido will lead and direct the operations in the Middle East region and will be based at the Middle East regional office. Most recently, Guido was Area Manager, Portugal and General Manager, Sheraton Algarve, a position he has held since March 2002.
Robert Koren, Vice President, Regional Director, Italy & Malta
As VP, Regional Director, Italy & Malta, Robert will continue to lead and direct the operations in Italy & Malta and will remain based at the St. Regis Grand Hotel in Rome.
