HFTP Selects Somers Public Relations Firm for Guestroom 2010
AUSTIN, TEXAS; HFTP has contracted with Charlotte Somers, a hospitality technology industry veteran, to help develop its Guestroom 2010 concept. In addition to being an industry veteran, Somers also has more than 10 years experience in marketing and communications.

"Guestroom 2010®, a guestroom prototype with the latest and near-future technologies for the modern hotel room, is a major commitment by HFTP to the industry." said Frank Wolfe, CAE, HFTP's CEO and executive vice president. "We are making an international call for technology to include in the display. We want the request widely marketed to all types of industry to ensure that our stakeholders see all the possibilities for future technology in hospitality. Somers understands our industry and its nuances and will help us make Guestroom 2010 and its acompanying pavilion a success."
Prior to starting her firm, Somers previously served as HFTP's director of communications and editor of The Bottomline, as well as associate editor of Hospitality Upgrade magazine. Somers operates a freelance communications business, based in Phoenix, Ariz. that specializes in writing, designing, public relations and meeting planning.
Guestroom 2010 will be part of a pavilion of technology displayed during HITEC 2006 in Minneapolis, June 19-22. While HFTP's Guestroom 2010 will not carry any other co-brand, HFTP will be accepting a very limited number of sponsors.
