HFTP's March Club and Hotel Controllers Conference Offers The Latest on Industry Hot Topics

AUSTIN, TEXAS; HFTP's Club and Hotel Controllers Conference in San Francisco offered 153 registered attendees eduational sessions on up-to-date industry topics and brought together individuals with similar professional interests, providing great networking opportunities - all in a location situated right in the heart of San Francisco's best attractions.

"Through past experience and word of mouth, hospitality professionals know that the two days spent at the conferences are an excellent way to get an update on important industry issues."

The program included general information sessions, as well as two industry-specific tracks, one for hotels and the other for clubs.

The three general sessions, each focused on tips for personal and professional success. The first session, presented by Larry Helm, focused on how to be mentally present to win every day of your life. The second session, presented by hospitality consultant Richard Braa, CHAE, paralleled leadership today with the accomplishments of great explorer Sir Richard Shackleton. The last general session, presented by professional speaker Patrick Snow, discussed how to create your own destiny.

The club concurrent sessions included: Eliminating Inefficiency (Adding Value) in Accounts Payable Processing; Flash Training for Microsoft Office; Auditing and Tax Update, Including Debunking Industry Myths & Legends; How'd That Get to be My Job?; and Menu Engineering.

The hotel concurrent sessions included: Budgeting in the 21st Century; Emerging Issues in Labor Relations; The Other CRM: Certified Risk Management; "I Will Survive!" - Teaching Hotel Controllers How to Survive Internal and External Audits; and Managing Credit and Collection Risk in the Hospitality Industry.

The conference will be held again this year, June 20-21, at the Hilton Minneapolis Hotel in Minneapolis, Minn., offering the exact same education program. The June conference will be co-located with the 2006 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC), and attendees will receive a complimentary HITEC Exhibits Only Pass and will attend the HITEC Welcome Reception on June 20.
