In anticipation of customer expectations, the Alberta based “Sawridge Inns” constantly strive to enhance product and customer experience through timely upgrades and extensive renovation projects
Alberta | When the first Sawridge Inn location opened for business in Slave Lake in 1972, the philosophy was simple; provide Sawridge Inn customers with a reason to come back by offering a competitive product, genuine hospitality and a positive experience. As a result, the original Sawridge Inn was immediately successful and soon became the social-hub of this vibrant community situated two and a half hours north west of Edmonton.
After enjoying instant success in Slave Lake, The Sawridge Inns expanded in 1983 when Sawridge Hospitality, under the guidance of the late Chief Walter Twinn, constructed a modern four star property in the heart of Jasper National Park. Following the standards set by their original location, the management group continued to focus on customer needs and expectations, and the property met with instant success by providing guests from Alberta and around the world with a first-class experience. Recent renovation of all guest rooms (2004) has positioned The Sawridge Inn Jasper as the premier hotel facility within the town of Jasper.
The next addition to the Sawridge Inn family was the thriving Sawridge Inn Fort McMurray property, acquired in 1988. A very ambitious renovation plan was unveiled in 2003. In April 2004, the Sawridge Inn Fort McMurray property was to become the leading full service lodging provider in Fort McMurray and very much a focal point in the growing business community.
The latest addition to the Sawridge Inns is, Sawridge Inn Peace River, acquired in September 2006. Extensive renovations to 42 guest rooms combined with major structural renovations to the exterior of the property began in April 2007. Combined with the previous recent renovations of the lobby, restaurant, lounge and meeting facilities, this will now result in a modern, attractive, and highly functional full service facility.
New, innovative, and eclectic websites will help position the Sawridge Inns in this competitive technological age.
Each of the locations focuses on customer service, maintaining a high level of staff moral, creating strong relationships with their suppliers and clients, whilst remaining very active in their respective communities. With four dynamic properties now located within thriving communities, the Sawridge Inns continue to be at the forefront of the Alberta accommodation sector, and take great pride in their commitment to excellence. It is anticipated that the number of Sawridge Inns is expected to grow in the years to come.
It is this approach that has made the Sawridge Inns and Conference Centres a cornerstone in the Alberta hotel industry for over 30 years.
