A Cypriot elected as the Vice-president of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC)

Angelos Loizou, Member of the Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd and Partner in charge of the Hospitality and Leisure services of the firm in Cyprus was elected Vice President.

Mr Loizou, noted that “We live in an era of abolishment of borders and barriers in the distribution of goods, services, people mobility and capital. It is an era of world economic completion. Even though it is not easy to forecast how this will develop, a new environment is created which changes continually. The adaptation is not simply a need but constitutes an element of survival. The challenges are here and cannot be overlooked or by-passed. We need to face them. A big challenge that Cyprus faces, is the development of its tourist industry. Through proper utilization of the expertise, knowledge and experience of the members of the Council of ISHC and the people of the international organisation of PwC, I also will offer my services to both organisations I belong as well as to my country.”

The new board members for 2007-2008 are the following:

• Patricia Monteson, Chair, ISHC. Ms Monteson is Co-Owner of Health Fitness Dynamics, Inc.based in Pompano, FL.
• Thomas Morone, President, ISHC. Mr Morone is based in California and is principal of Warnick & Company (CA), LLC
• Angelos M. Loizou, Vice President, ISHC. Mr Loizou is a Member of the Board of PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd and Partner in charge of the Hospitality and Leisure services of the firm in Cyprus.
• Sean Hennessey, Treasurer ISHC. Mr Hennessey is President of Lodging Advisors in New York NY.
• Matt Arrants, Secretary ISHC. Mr Arrants is Managing Director of Boston, MA based Pinnacle Advisory Group.
• Bonnie Buckhiester, member ISHC Board of Directors. Mrs Buckhiester is President & CEO of Buckhiester Management USA, Inc.
• Kit Cassingham, member ISHC Board of Directors. Mrs Cassingham is founder of Sage Blossom Consulting in Ridgway, Colorado.
• Stephen Galbreath, member ISHC Board of Directors. Mr Galbreath is based in Dallas TX and is a principal of RTKL International Ltd.
• Mehmet Onkal, member ISHC Board of Directors. Mr Onkal is Managing Director BDO Tourism Consultancy, Turkey.
