KeyLime Cove (www.keylimecove.com), Chicagoland's largest indoor waterpark resort, was named the 2010 eMarketer of the Year at Monday night's Adrian Awards gala in New York City. Presented by TRAVELCLICK®, the leader in hotel ecommerce solutions, together with Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), the award recognizes the hotel that best demonstrates success in attracting and converting guests through the web. In addition, six TRAVELCLICK customers were recognized in HSMAI's annual Adrian Awards competition. With over 1,000 entries, the program is the travel industry's largest and most prestigious competition honoring outstanding achievements in advertising, public relations, and digital marketing.
KeyLime Cove, a family vacation destination inspired by the Florida Keys, was named eMarketer of the Year for its creative use of the web, and social networks in particular, to engage guests, deliver brand experiences, and build relationships with consumers. A redesigned website with large, inviting photos and an intuitive web booking engine show guests all the resort has to offer-while creating a fully interactive shopping and booking experience. The resort's bold strategy of featuring consumer reviews directly on the home page gives confidence to consumers as they shop online. Promotions on Facebook have tripled KeyLime Cove's Facebook following, while behind-the-scenes tours for family-focused bloggers further build community with the resort's target market. These strategies are complemented by a mobile website that makes the connection with families on the go. As a result of its emarketing innovations, KeyLime Cove doubled online reservations in 2010, now generating 37 percent of its business from the Internet.
"It's clear our winner truly knows how to relate to guests," said Jonathan Cherins, Chief Marketing Officer at TRAVELCLICK. "They have demonstrated a keen ability to make emotional connections online and communicate the passion and culture of their brand. We are excited to recognize KeyLime Cove for their achievements in online marketing and guest engagement."
