Paradisus by Meliá Launches The Reserve, A Brand Wide Upgraded Guest Experience
The luxury, all-inclusive resort brand in Mexico and the Caribbean now offers a new premium guest experience throughout its five leading resorts
Paradisus by Meliá, the luxury all-inclusive resort brand owned and operated by Spanish hotel chain Meliá Hotels International, has announced the debut of The Reserve, a brand wide upgraded guest experience within each Paradisus location.
The Reserve offers both adults-only and family-friendly options. Adults have access to areas within each resort solely for adults including an exclusive restaurant, lounge for check in and check out, pool and beach areas.
"2021 is an exciting time for Paradisus by Meliá," said Andre Gerondeau, Chief Operating Officer for Meliá Hotels International. "As we welcome back our guests under the Stay Safe with Meliá program, they will also have the opportunity to experience this special, elevated guest experience through The Reserve. Also this year, we debuted a new wedding and romance program, Romance by Paradisus, offering our guests refreshed packages to experience love at our resorts."
In addition to these brand wide upgrades, Paradisus has also made changes to its Riviera Maya location. Paradisus Playa del Carmen has renamed its family-friendly section of the resort. What was previously Paradisus La Esmeralda, will now be known as Paradisus Playa del Carmen. This section of the resort features 506 spacious suites, including 188 The Reserve rooms. 68 of the 188 Reserve suites are swim-up suites with direct access to private pools. In addition, the resort features a Kids Zone with supervised activities for kids up to 14 years old, playground and tropical-themed water park with three swimming pools, giant water buckets and five slides for kids of all ages. Paradisus Playa del Carmen guests will also have access to 11 restaurants and eight bars.
The adults-only section of the resort will remain Paradisus La Perla, featuring 393 spacious suites, including 150 The Reserve rooms. 58 of the 150 Reserve suites are swim-up suites with direct access to private pools. Guests at both resorts will be able to book The Reserve and receive upgrade accommodations and exclusive services and amenities, along with access to an adults-only pool, adults-only beach. In addition to the 11 restaurants and eight bars that are for everyone, adults will be able to dine exclusively at six restaurants and six bars, each with distinct flavor and personality.
In May 2020, the Spanish hotel company announced the debut of the Stay Safe with Meliá program. The company has partnered with Bureau Veritas, a company leader in inspection, certification, and testing, to ensure the Meliá Hotels International system is achieving the highest standards in the management of preventative measures to combat COVID-19 in its hotels worldwide. The 340 hotels around the globe have modified their facilities and redesigned all their processes to reduce direct interaction and maintain hygiene standards and social distancing across each property. These safety measures include temperature checks of all guests upon arrival, special Covid-19 amenities kits with a mask, gloves and hydroalcoholic gel, and strictly enforcing social distancing at restaurants, pools and entertainment activities.
Resorts currently open for guests include Paradisus Los Cabos, Paradisus Playa del Carmen, Paradisus La Perla, Paradisus Cancun and The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real. Paradisus Palma Real will reopen on June 10, 2021. Reservations can be made at www.melia.com.
