BLLA Launches New CAREERS Section of the Association’s Website
Sponsored by MogulRecruiter and Lark Hotels, this newly focused area of BLLA will allow boutique hotel members and vendor members the opportunity to showcase their openings in an effort to address labor issues in the hospitality industry
The BLLA team including its Leadership and Committee members felt there was an urgent need to address the burgeoning issues including labor shortage and finding top people to fill important roles at their hotels. In answer to this issue, BLLA began work immediately on a robust digital job postings site located on the main blla.org page under the heading CAREERS (www.blla.org/careers).
The obvious goal for employers and hotel owners today is to not fill the empty spots but find the leading professionals to fill those most important roles/positions. This CAREERS page will be a hub for job postings in the boutique space and will develop into a robust career center for those wishing to join the fastest-growing sector in hospitality today.
BLLA’s COO Ariela Kiradjian commented, “We are so excited to finally bring this to fruition after months of planning including with our IT team and with the association’s key leadership. We expect it to grow to rich content within the first six months, offering both hotels and job seekers, a focused channel to connect to.”
We heard it loud and clear that our member hotels needed a high level of support in order to assist them in finding the exact right talent. With a growing shortage of labor in our industry, we needed a dedicated channel focused only on the independent boutique hotel as their needs may be quite different in many ways.
The first iteration will roll out slowly as we get the word out to our hotels. We will also add vendor positions, but with a priority on hotel staff as well as interviews, blog posts, and resources including those from sponsors like MogulRecruiter to help locate the most qualified candidates as well as through the private BLLA members-only portal.
