Accor restaurants honored in the 2022 Michelin Guide

"Seductive flavors” “highly mastered,” by chefs Oliver Piras and Alessandra Del Favero earned the Italian restaurant Il Carpaccio, at the Royal Monceau Raffles Paris its first Michelin star in 2022. “Cooking marked by a refreshing lack of pomposity and showmanship – that really deliver in flavor,” won a Michelin star for chef Anthony Demetre at Wild Honey St James, Sofitel St James, a contemporary French brasserie inside a Grade II listed former banking hall. In addition, this year’s guide also awarded one star to the handcrafted modern interpretations of Austrian cuisine at APRON, at Hotel Am Konzerthaus Vienna – MGallery where an open show kitchen makes guests part of the preparation process.

Receiving two Michelin stars in this year’s guide, the flavorful and technical dishes created by Christoph Rüffer and his team at one of Germany's leading gourmet addresses, Haerlin at Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Hamburg. Michelin reviewers lauded the venue’s culinary quality, which is matched by exquisite interiors and views over Inner Alster Lake. And becoming the first two-star Michelin restaurant in San Diego, Addison at Fairmont Grand del Mar was praised for “genuine hospitality with gracious pacing.” Meanwhile, JAAN by chef Kirk Westaway, on the 70th floor of Swissôtel The Stamford, Singapore, has also risen to a two-star ranking as it celebrates its fifth year of Michelin star recognition. Known for its modern reinterpretation of British gastronomy, Michelin praised the restaurant for embodying the quintessence of fine dining.

Restaurants recognized by Forbes Travel Guide This year’s Forbes Travel Guide, a leading authority on luxury hospitality, honors eight Accor hotels and resorts, three spas, and two restaurants with 5-star recognition: Fairmont Grand del Mar’s Addison and La Dame de Pic in Raffles, Singapore. At Addison, San Diego’s first and only two-star Michelin restaurant, chef William Bradley offers an evolving nine-course tasting journey through Southern California’s regional ingredients and influences – enhanced with wine pairings with top Californian vintages. While Anne-Sophie Pic’s sophisticated French dining at La Dame de Pic Raffles Singapore delivers on Pic’s signature aromatic complexity, flavour combinations and powerful evocative tastes.

From Canadian après ski design to Australia’s highest award for wine

A speakeasy-style secret room concealed by bookshelves is just one of the design features that earned the Rundle Bar at Fairmont Banff Springs the 2021 Canadian Interiors “Best of Canada” award in hospitality for its design. With a two-story main bar featuring a rolling library ladder and double-volume arches once part of the original building façade, the space by Calgary-based FRANK Architecture provides guests with the perfect après ski atmosphere in the heart of the hotel. Meanwhile, the creative wine list at Atelier by Sofitel, Sydney Darling Harbour’s French-inspired restaurant, has received Australia’s highest wine industry accolade. Honoring the talent and dedication of sommeliers around the country, the Australian Wine List of the Year Awards recognized the restaurant’s diverse mix of 96 Australian and French wines – featuring a choice of 28 wines by the glass.

Whether it’s the diversity of the wine list, original design or the level of excellence in each meal, recognition in our industry confirms the success of our Food & Beverage strategy across the Group. By focusing on creating rich and meaningful experiences for diners and guests, we create not just standout bars and restaurants but award-winning bars and restaurants.
