Chairman and CEO Gabriel Escarrer also recognized once again as the most reputable leader in the tourism industry

Meliá Hotels International has once again been named the most reputable tourism company in Spain, according to the 2025 edition of the Merco Empresas ranking. This marks the thirteenth consecutive year the company has led the tourism sector, underscoring its sustained excellence and leadership. Furthermore, Meliá has advanced one position in the overall ranking, now placing 21st among the 200 most reputable companies in the country.

The 25th edition of Merco (Monitor Empresarial de Reputación Corporativa) reinforces its methodological robustness through a comprehensive evaluation process that includes six assessment tools, 25 sources of information, and a total of 62,410 surveys. It remains the only corporate reputation monitor in the world subject to independent verification by KPMG, in accordance with the ISAE 3000 standard, ensuring the highest standards of rigor and transparency.

In addition to its recognition in Merco Empresas, Meliá also leads the tourism sector rankings in Merco Responsibility ESG and Merco Talent, positioning the company as both the most sustainable and the most attractive hospitality employer in Spain.

Gabriel Escarrer, Chairman and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, has also been recognized once again as the most reputable leader in the tourism sector, rising three positions to rank 25th in the 2025 Merco Líderes ranking.

This recognition is particularly meaningful as it is based on a rigorous and independently audited methodology that reflects the perceptions of all our stakeholders. It is a testament to the collective dedication of our teams and to our unwavering commitment to excellence, sustainability, and talent as the pillars of our corporate reputation. Mr. Escarrer
