HFTP Dubai Chapter Hosts Insightful Session on USALI 12th Revised Edition
This week, the HFTP and the HFTP Dubai chapter successfully hosted an event at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah on September 23. The gathering brought together 87 hospitality leaders from across Dubai’s leading hotel brands, reinforcing HFTP’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and professional development within the hospitality finance and technology community.

This week, the HFTP and the HFTP Dubai chapter successfully hosted an event at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah on September 23. The gathering brought together 87 hospitality leaders from across Dubai’s leading hotel brands, reinforcing HFTP’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and professional development within the hospitality finance and technology community.
The event began with a networking breakfast, followed by a comprehensive overview of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) 12th Revised Edition. The presentation was given by Dr. Arlene Ramirez, Senior Vice President of Learning for HFTP and a past HFTP Global President.
In attendance was HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, who introduced the program. Joining him were the chapter’s leaders: President Hesham Elenna, Vice President Rohit Garg, and board members Rizwan Mohammad, Madina Osman and Mahmoud Kamal.
Ramirez’s presentation highlighted critical updates in the recently-released 12th Revised Edition, which becomes effective on January 01, 2026, including:
- New sustainability and brand cost categories
- Updated departmental schedules and line items
- Lease accounting changes
- Real-world implications for reporting, budgeting, and compliance
The event was free of charge for participants, ensuring widespread awareness of the upcoming standards and their impact on the hospitality sector.
