Scandic to divest one hotel in Lahti
Scandic has signed an agreement to divest the hotel operations of Scandic Lahti to GreenStar Hotel Oy. The buyer will take over the operations of the hotel, which has 139 rooms, on August 1, 2019.
The reason for the sale is that the decision by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority to approve Scandic's acquisition of Restel was subject to the divestment of one hotel in Lahti, one in Pori and one in Kuopio. In 2018, Scandic announced that it had divested Cumulus Pori and Cumulus Kuopio Station. With the sale of Scandic Lahti, Scandic has met the conditions of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
