Association of Australian Hotel Schools (AAHS)

Australia is setting new standards in hospitality management, education and training. Eight of Australia’s leading hotel management schools have united to form the Association of Australian Hotel Schools (AAHS), with the charter of developing and maintaining national standards of excellence in hospitality and tourism education and promoting the hospitality industry as a preferred career choice. The Association’s aim is to encourage excellence in hospitality and tourism education and to collaboratively promote the hospitality industry as a preferred career choice. The members are together developing benchmarks and training standards to ensure excellence and quality assurance in Australian hospitality education and developing common positions with respect to public and private policy and practice impacting on the sector. Areas of initial focus include changes in legislation affecting international students, public funding for members and the development of dialogue with hospitality industry leaders
