In 1968, Raymond Grenald, a practicing Architect, grew interested in addressing people’s perception of architectural space through the use of light. This vision prompted the founding of Raymond Grenald Associates. Ray was one of the pioneers who lead the way in the specialization of architectural lighting design as a profession. Lee Waldron, with a background in theatre, film and television lighting, joined Ray in 1976 and helped to foster a public appreciation of good lighting design. In 1994, our firm became Grenald Waldron Associates. And in 2003, GWA formed a new management team to prepare for our future growth.
