Inherit Hotel Group

The vision behind Inherit Hotel Group is to showcase suite-based hotels situated in vibrant neighborhoods, featuring rooms that are both luxurious and functional. Now overseeing two properties, the Austin-based team consists of partners and husband and wife duo, David and Simona Krug, overseeing operations, development and design, partner Martin Quander handling revenue management and operations, and partner Jon Michelson, in charge of consumer marketing. Inherit Hotel Group’s first venture, The Guesthouse Hotel in Chicago, was born from a building initially meant to be luxury condominiums and converted to a boutique hotel during the country’s economic downturn in 2008. The suite-based concept drew mass appeal in Chicago, and led the team to open a second hotel, Colton House Hotel in Austin, with future plans to continue expanding this concept to other cities.
