Alkedo is today an example of a professional and corporate meeting between different generations. Experience, Creativity and Innovation are the components of the energy that moves an enthusiastic team made up of directors, technicians, journalists, musicians, documentary makers, artists gathered in partnership with the mission of giving back to the city of Pisa, the due role in Cinema and in Show.

The name is a deliberate reference to the history of the city and its priceless cultural heritage. Alkedo is in fact the name of one of the ancient ships of Pisa, the most beautiful, and is the oldest known name for a ship. Preserved in the Medici Arsenals, it is an archaeological find of rare workmanship, in an excellent state of conservation, which summarizes a set of values ​​of our city: tradition (origins of the Pisan seafaring tradition), history (Alkedo is a Roman ship in excellent condition conservation), innovation (Alkedo is today the result of the most innovative restoration center on ancient wet wood), the ability to get involved (win the bet of preserving this heritage thanks to new technologies). Values ​​that are also the foundation of our company.

Alkedo renews the Pisan tradition of betting on the innovation of the means of communication using the most modern technologies such as holograms and virtual reality. Many applications are now possible in different sectors: museums, exhibition centers, archaeological areas, but also shop windows, tourist information points, exhibition stands.

Alkedo, as an innovation craftsman, provides design and construction services for holographic bulletin boards, Holo Theater, augmented reality showcases, holographic scenographies and applications for shows and events that use this new technology.

Alkedo productions restarts from Pisa and from the tradition of Pisan cinema, referring to the experience of the Forzano factories, which have become Pisorno. It is in Pisa that Guglielmo Marconi builds the first radio. It is also in Pisa that the first Italian computer is born, in Pisa the computer adventure of Olivetti is born, in Pisa the first Internet connection takes place. Alkedo productions, also places itself at the service of Cultural Heritage, with the aim of creating audiovisual and virtual reality works, capable of bringing the public closer to the different forms of artistic expression, and to the historical-artistic heritage, the true deposit-wealth of our country.

Alkedo's commitment is mainly concentrated in giving substance to the relaunch, starting from Pisa and its tradition. Commitment that passes through giving confidence to young directors, supporting their productions, through training, and above all in innovation at the service of the film sector.
