The Point
The first Relais & Châteaux property in North America, The Point is an intimate, lakefront, private Adirondack estate on Upper Saranac Lake in New York. Originally built as a Great Camp for William Avery Rockefeller II from 1930-1933, The Point offers 11 distinct guest rooms and a “house party” atmosphere where visitors receive access to all 75-acres of the secluded property and the staff anticipate guests’ every desire. In the tradition of the Rockefellers, each meal unfolds as a communal event, while The Point’s purposely “unplugged” nature encourages guests to embrace the resort’s myriad seasonal activities—from boating and geocaching in the summer to snowshoeing, curling and ice skating in the winter.
