Opening December 2025, Skýra Retreat redefines the art of the Arctic escape in Finland, just twenty minutes from Rovaniemi Airport, yet a world apart. Set discreetly between the glassy waters of Lake Norvajärvi and the ancient forests of Finnish Lapland, Skýra Retreat is an invitation to experience true Nordic luxury - intimate, elemental, and refreshingly understated. At its centre stands the Old Schoolhouse, a 1950s village landmark transformed into an elegant hideaway with a discreetly refined restaurant, where guests can experience table-served breakfasts and afternoon pullakahvit - coffee and pastries, the Finnish way - crafted from the freshest Nordic ingredients.

Led by Finnish designer Marjo Saarinen and architect Johannes Jutila of UKI Arkkitehdit, the retreat’s design fuses tactile, nature-inspired interiors with contemporary Finnish architecture, bringing heritage and innovation into serene harmony. Surrounding the heart of the retreat, a collection of 15 suites, apartments and a villa - from the evocative Teachers’ Chambers and grand former classrooms to contemporary log-built Mökki suites and a private lakeside villa - offers spaces to rest, reflect, and energise, each thoughtfully designed to channel Lapland’s natural quiet and clarity.
