Made Program University

Made Program University is a legally recognized, degree-granting Academy of Fine Arts, the first of its kind in Italy, that aims to work at the crossroads of design, art, traditional crafts, and local culture, creating an operational platform based in the South of our country, in Siracusa.

Rethinking Lampedusa is a research project and art residency organized by the MADE Program (Siracusa) in collaboration with Northeastern University, focusing on mapping the island's geo-imaginary and political design; the project engages with migrant conditions and challenges the concepts of borders and nation-states through artistic and philosophical research. It explores the Mediterranean as a geopolitical space, focusing on ecological design, philosophical reflection, and the migrant crisis.
