The “deus ex machina” behind Cavallino Bianco is third-generation South Tyrolean entrepreneur Ralph A. Riffeser, Sole Director and General Manager of Cavallino Bianco Val Gardena – Dolomiti in Ortisei, South Tyrol, Italy. Recognized as one of the world’s best luxury family hotels and a pioneer of this hospitality concept, his visionary approach transformed the family hotel into an international icon of family-oriented hospitality, redefining the standards of excellence in the sector.

Since 1993, Ralph A. Riffeser has served as General Manager and Sole Director of the property. Between 2001 and 2005, he completely demolished and rebuilt the hotel with a fully family-funded investment, giving life to an innovative philosophy based on the value of shared time, the quality of relationships, and a discreet yet refined and functional concept of luxury.

At the heart of his model lies the idea of a “family hotel” as a true “oasis of family regeneration.” From the Dolomites to the sea, Ralph A. Riffeser now writes a new chapter with Cavallino Bianco Caorle – Venezia, the group’s first Luxury Family Beach Resort, bringing to the seaside the expertise and values cultivated in the Dolomites. This project was born from both professional and personal motivation and is the result of 20 years of experience and more than 15 years of research. Overlooking the beach and surrounded by pine forest, the resort is conceived as a destination tailored for families, where design, nature, and top-quality services merge into a unique offering within the European hospitality landscape.
