AI and Revenue Management: Navigating the Future Together

Interesting question, and just like we do with our Forecasts... I'll try to guess what will happen in the future.

The surge of AI and the democratization of its use is marking a very important milestone in technology use. Just today, I had a meeting and the summary was generated by Microsoft's Co Pilot. A summary that I use to add to the Teams conversation.

This is a very simple example of what can happen; nobody has lost their job by having Co Pilot write the summary, and it has saved us half an hour of work.

I am sure it will be the end for those professional profiles that are exclusively dedicated to changing prices in a channel manager (often mistakenly called revenue managers in many companies).

Furthermore, I believe if our job as Revenue Manager is the right one, we can sleep peacefully. AI is here to help us; we will be more efficient and able to cover more mechanical work and focus on decision-making.
