Located in the center of the world's largest hospitality/tourism market, the School has two main New Jersey campuses in Teaneck and Madison, and four off-site locations at Atlantic City, Jersey City, Mercer County, and Ocean County. These sites are dedicated to using all the industry and educational opportunities the area has to offer, in preparing its over 500 students to assume key positions of responsibility in the hospitality and tourism industries.

In addition, the School has developed a broad network of programs and partnerships with schools and universities in the Caribbean, Europe, South America and Asia. This affords its students a vast array of international hospitality and tourism educational experiences, which is in line with the University’s and School’s missions as leaders in global education.

The School has produced close to 3,000 graduates since its founding in 1942. Its alumni hold many notable domestic and international leadership and management positions in the hospitality industry both in the United States and around the world. Each year, the School receives over 2,000 intern and career track job opportunities for its students, both locally and internationally.

The School offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management, a Bachelor of Arts (Specialization in Hospitality or Culinary Arts) for adult learners, a Masters of Science degree in Hospitality Management Studies, and a combined B.S. /M.S. 5-year degree program. All students participate in the School’s unique Professional Development Sequence, which is composed of classes, activities and work experiences designed to foster their personal, academic and professional growth.

The School is part of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies, which fosters innovative and creative career-oriented opportunities. In line with the College’s mission “to offer educational opportunities across many development levels", the School's goal is to act as a conduit for fulfilling both student and industry educational needs as they develop in this new century. As New Jersey's premier program in hospitality management, it is committed to becoming the region's primary destination for two-year college graduates wishing to secure a bachelor's degree in the hospitality or tourism management field.

The University has two very different campus environments in northern New Jersey. Both offer undergraduate and graduate studies in hospitality and restaurant management.

The Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, New Jersey is located eight miles from Manhattan and the rich hospitality resources of New York City, as well as New Jersey’s many hotels, restaurants and country clubs. On campus, the International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management has a 2,000 square-foot demonstration lab housing food production and dining areas, television cameras, teleconferencing equipment and a suite of administrative and faculty offices.

The College at Florham in Madison, New Jersey, is located on the former Vanderbilt-Twombly country estate. The International School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is located and housed in the Chaine House, which is also the national headquarters of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the world’s oldest and most prestigious organization dedicated to promoting the culinary and hospitality arts. Approximately 35 miles from New York City, the campus is surrounded by numerous first-class and deluxe hospitality properties as well as Fortune 500 companies. A special feature of the School on the College at Florham location is the presence of the Hamilton Park Hotel and Conference Center, which is partnered educationally with it. The Hamilton Park offers students jobs and internship experiences, special classes and on-site projects, hands-on laboratory experiences and scholarships.
