Students in the HM program are prepared to handle all facets of food production, employee relations, purchasing, menu planning, public relations, and business and financial control. The curriculum includes basic nutrition, basic food theory and application, food service management and business administration. Students are required to participate in two internships as a part of their program, one in the junior year and one in the senior year. These placements include full-services restaurants, major hotels and resort settings such as Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
