City College of San Francisco is a two year institution offering instruction in over 50 disciplines. The CAHS Department was founded in 1935 and is the first two year program in the United States to offer a culinary degree. The Alice Statler Library contains over 6,000 volumes of hotel and restaurant publications. The internationally recognized program provides a “hands on” education in hotel and restaurant operations. Facilities include 5 kitchens and 3 food service outlets, including an 80 fine dining restaurant, a demonstration lecture hall.
