As an accredited college of the University of Birmingam, all of the BA, BSc and Foundation degree courses featured on this website lead to degrees awarded by the University of Birmingham, as do our postgraduate degrees. Full-time and part-time courses are offered in all subject areas.

We are a specialist higher education institution, offering courses with a strong vocational relevance rather than wholly academic. Our well-defined range of subject areas means that teaching and learning is supported by a large group of subject experts, using some of the best specialist resourced available in Europe.

We aim to ensure that each course uses work-related examples wherever possible, and even some assessment is planned to replicate (and develop) sltyles of communication used in the workplace. We are one of only a very few higher education institutions that offer such a range of further and higher education courses in our subjects.

Successful specialist courses depend on the best equipment and teaching facilities. We invest heavily in the best equipment and resources for your studies. Our state-of-the-art cooking facilities reflect an industry environment and our hair and make-up studios cater to a wide variety of professional skillsets.

There are plenty of study and computer areas specifically designed for research, group presentations and social learning areas with audio-visual capability. Our libraries encompass books, newspapers, multimedia, electronic journals and a variety of up-to-date online resources.

We have different accommodation options to suit a range of tastes and budgets. Over 1,000 student can be accommodated over two halls of residence, and accommodation can be offered to all years and any program of study. Prices include all utilities such as heating, lighting, water, Wifi access and a comprehensive insurance cover. All our accommodation has fully furnished bedrooms and fully fitted kitchens, onsite staff and laundry facilities with a secure gated site.

UCB is right in the heart of Birmingham, a city with one of the youngest, most diverse populations in Europe – not to mention more than 65,000 students, with 1,300 international students from 65 countries.
