Public speculation and negative predictions dominate as Atlantic City is severely challenged with the combined threats of newly legalized Table Games in Pennsylvania, widespread financial difficulties, and decreasing visitation. Five of the eleven casinos are in or have concluded bankruptcy proceedings, the Borgata’s new hotel tower is seasonally closed mid-week and the Revel megaresort is delayed seeking financing.
