Amari enters Sri Lanka with beachfront resort in Galle

NYX Hospitality Group, one of Asia"s leading hotel management companies, has launched a brand-new Amari property in Sri Lanka"s historic southwest coastal city of Galle. The 172-room Amari Galle, located a short distance from the UNESCO World Heritage Galle Fort, is ONYX Hospitality Group"s third hotel in Sri Lanka. This hotel is also the Group"s third Amari opening this year, following Amari Johor Bahru in Malaysia and Amari Yangshuo in China.

Amari Galle Sri Lanka – On Track to Open in Late 2016

Construction of Amari Galle Sri Lanka is progressing on schedule, with the resort on track to open in late 2016. This upcoming opening marks the introduction of the Amari brand by ONYX Hospitality Group to Sri Lanka, and follows on the success of two earlier openings in the country – OZO Colombo and OZO Kandy. All three hotels are owned by Sino Lanka Hotels (PVT) LTD, headed by Mr Bob Kundanmal, and managed by ONYX Hospitality Group.

Third project from ONYX Hospitality Group breaks ground in Sri Lanka

Thailand-based ONYX Hospitality Group marked a key development in the expansion of its Amari brand with a 'ground breaking' ceremony to mark the start of construction of the third ONYX project in Sri Lanka; Amari Galle. The hospitality group's savvy hotel brand OZO, has already made an indelible footprint in Sri Lanka's hospitality landscape, with OZO Colombo which opened in June 2014 and OZO Kandy which is due to open in April this year.
