Four Seasons has announced the opening of a new hotel complex in Seville, strengthening its presence in Spain and Europe. The project aims to transform a historic building into a luxury hotel, and marks an important step for the city in the upmarket tourism sector.
The 49-bedroom hotel is in the historic centre of Seville, in the Encarnación neighborhood next to the square with Las Setas - a wooden structure designed by the Berlin architect Jürgen Mayer, which houses a rooftop terrace, a traditional market, restaurants, a performance square, and an archaeological museum.

Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a management agreement to convert Hacienda La Boticaria, an Andalucian style retreat close to Seville, into a luxury Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property. Hilton Worldwide has already begun operating the resort, which is set to become a Waldorf Astoria in early summer 2011 and will mark the arrival of the brand in Spain.
