IHG, the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms, today announced it has signed a franchise agreement with KLP Emprendimientos S.A. for development of the InterContinental Mendoza, in Mendoza, Argentina.
IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms, today announced that it has signed a new franchise agreement for the Holiday Inn Express Rosario in Argentina. The 9-story, 175-guestroom hotel will be located at Salta 1950, Rosario, Provincia de Santa Fe, in the commercial district and close to many office buildings and the main port and is scheduled to open in December 2009.
J.W. Marriott Jr. honored the 100th anniversary of the historic Marriott Plaza Hotel Buenos Aires last evening at a birthday celebration hosted at the home of the Ambassador of Argentina, Hector Timerman. Also in attendance was the Secretary of Tourism for Argentina, Enrique Meyer. The Plaza hotel, a Buenos Aires landmark, joined the Marriott International hotel portfolio in 1994.
