Villa Terminus

Norway Hotel Villa Terminus Opens

Stockholm-based interdisciplinary design firm Claesson Koivisto Rune has completed its transformation of the 250-year-old Villa Terminus hotel in Bergen, Norway. A former residence from the 18th century, the 18-room hotel is the smallest in a family-run collection of historic properties in the heart of the city.

The boutique-style concept evokes residential qualities accented with Nordic flair and midcentury modern elements. Domestic 19th_century paintings from Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershøi adorn the walls, instilling warmth and tranquility along with abundant natural daylight and handmade furniture and décor. Chalk-toned guestroom walls harmonize with the neutral palette of natural materials and woven textiles. Amenities include a peaceful library, modern kitchen, and classic Scandinavian furnishings.
