Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today announced the signing of a management agreement with Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) to open Conrad Kuala Lumpur in the heart of the Malaysian capital. Slated for completion in 2021, the entry of the 544-room new-build hotel will mark the launch of Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton's global luxury brand, into Malaysia.
Located within the prime Golden Triangle district of Kuala Lumpur and one hour by car from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the hotel will be part of a mixed-use development that also comprises an office tower.
Guests will enjoy ease of accessibility to Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Raja Chulan, both well-connected to major thoroughfares in the city, and to tourist attractions such as the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and Bukit Bintang, one of Kuala Lumpur's most prominent retail and entertainment belts. Business travellers will also appreciate the convenience to major business districts, as well as to vital transportation hubs in Kuala Lumpur Sentral and Bandar Malaysia.
Sophisticated Amenities and Fine Dining
When it opens, the hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, two specialty restaurants and one bar. Catering to both business and leisure guests, there will be a business centre, spa and fitness centre, as well as a pool. Guests can also hold large-scale meetings and functions in the generous events space, which measures approximately 3,400 square meters.
