Meliá Qinhan New Town in Xi’an set to Open in 2022
Meliá Hotels International, the leading Spanish hotel group, continues to maintain its robust momentum in the Asia Pacific region and today announced further growth in China with the new Meliá Qinhan New Town in Xi'an, expected to open in 2022.
One of the oldest cities in China, Xi'an is the oldest of the Four Great Ancient Capitals, having held the position under several of the most important dynasties in Chinese history. Xi'an is also the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Meliá Qinhan New Town is located in The Xixian New Area. While boasting a significant historical and cultural heritage with over 350 relics dating back to at least 1,000 years, Xixian is experiencing a strong urban development with the goal to create a modern, sustainable city with improved ecology, livability and business environment. Qinhan New Town is located in the geometric center of The Xixian New Area, and is the core area of the five functional groups in The Xixian New Area. With the signing of the urban resort Meliá Qinhan New Town, it creates the synergy with the group's Gran Meliá Xi'an, the luxury hotel next to Tang Paradise in the city.
