The Lodge at St. Edward State Park, a national landmark transformed into a new 84-guestroom hotel just 25 minutes outside of Seattle, in now open for hotel, dining and spa service. The property will be managed and oper ated by Seattle-based Columbia Hospitality and was preserved, restored and renovated by Daniels Real Estate.
Surrounded by the dense and tranquil forests of the 326-acre Saint Edward State Park on the shores of Lake Washington, the hotel has been beautifully restored to showcase the site's historic elegance and grandeur while incorporating just the right amount of modern comfort. The former dorms have been transformed into thoughtfully designed accommodations that feature original details and decor influenced by the building's past.

The Lodge at St. Edward features the following amenities:

• Cedar + Elm restaurant is influenced by the seasons and inspired by the Lodge's on-sit e garden, its apiary and the bounty of regional waters, with a focus on sustainable sourcing from local farmers and purveyors. The menus will accentuate pinnacle ingredients, defined by their seasonality, sourcing, harvesting and environmental footprint. Local seafoods will be ever-present, highlighted in dishes like the St. Jude Fishing Vessel Albacore Tuna Crudo, a wild Alaska halibut filet seared a la plancha with peas, preserved lemon and fresh garden herbs.

• Father Mulligan's Heritage Bar, an extension of Cedar + Elm, will highlight craveable comfort foods, including hearth-fired flatbreads and pizzas, creative cocktails, craft beer and wine.

• The Tonsorium Bar, a speakeasy-style gathering space located on the lower level of the hotel, will serve imaginative cocktails and bites as part of a menu that evolves throughout the day. Guests can admire authentic relics from the building's past that have been incorporated into the décor, including heirlooms from the three family barbers: Heavy, Fats and Slim.

• Mirroring the pristine beauty of Lake Washington and the surrounding forest, Vita Nova Spa will harness the restorative power of nature and complement it with healing techniques and rejuvenating therapies. A rotating menu of treatments, all using organic herbal infusions and pure products, will entice the senses and create balance in the body.

• Expansive private meeting space: The Lodge features over 9,000 square feet of beautiful indoor and outdoor meeting and events spaces, perfect for business conferences, corporate retreats, collaboration sessions, weddings, banquets, and every ceremony and celebration in between.

• Outdoor activities and adventure: The Lodge is located in a serene Washington state park, with transporting old-growth forests, miles of hiking and biking trails, a magnificent Lake Washington coastline and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure right in its backyard. Guests ca n enjoy the restorative energy that this natural beauty delivers through complimentary mountain bike rentals, by lounging outside on the lawn around a fire pit or by playing a game of cornhole or croquet on a sunny spring or summer day.

• History and art: Honoring its rich past, The Lodge at St. Edward has created a unique "Stories of St. Edward" self-guided tour. History buffs can venture through the property to find QR codes, each linking to an anecdote, photograph, or video that tells the story of the space they stand in and the significance it holds to the property. And as a nod to the decades of artists and storytellers inspired by The Lodge's natural setting, it will continue to be a place that celebrates and nurtures local art, featuring a gallery with rotating installations with pieces to admire or purchase.
