The curtain rises again for Sheraton Grand Chicago on June 7. As one of the most prominent hotels to reopen in the country, this milestone signifies the beginning of the end of a challenging year and a hopeful restart for both the city and the nation. Located in the heart of downtown Chicago along the Chicago River, the hotel has been in hibernation since last March, but continued to bring smiles to faces with uplifting window designs and other love letters to the City of Chicago.

To provide peace of mind and to set the stage for exciting family-friendly activities to come, the hotel has created a one-of-a-kind new safety "Pointes" program demonstrated with classic ballet movements. Beautifully demonstrated by Ballet Chicago and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, the "Pointes" explain protocols and convey an overall "So Grand & So Clean" message through multiple basic dance movements, such as plier, gilsser, sauter and tourner. Performed around the hotel, each graceful act reveals changes made inside the Sheraton Grand and manifests Chicago's cultural experiences returning back to life.

In time for summer travel, the hotel will also boast new transformations, including special offers for family travel featuring the indoor pool. A new room design is inspired by the Riverwalk and vessels that traverse the nearby Chicago River waterway. The ongoing renovation by Simeone Deary Group reflects a sophisticated nautical lifestyle, a perfect theme for summer travel.

Multiple dining experiences opening with the hotel include Chicago Burger Company, a lively restaurant with an outdoor patio, delicious burgers and creative cocktails, and Link, an intimate coffee house with both sweet and savory menu items.

Announcements including summer programming, events and conferences will be announced in the upcoming weeks. Programming at the hotel will center on celebrating Chicago's tastemakers and creatives, including: Riverfront Riffs, a summer music series; Chicago Made, a market with small businesses; and summer performances by Chicago Ballet in the ballroom.

Until then, Sheraton Grand will once again offer guests striking views of the lake, river and Chicago cityscape. Moments away from legendary downtown attractions, such as Navy Pier, Millennium Park and the Chicago Water Tower, the Riverwalk hotel is still the perfect home base for visiting downtown Chicago.
